LEWISBURG, Pa. - In conjunction with the NCAA's 11th annual "Take a Kid to the Game" celebration, Bucknell's women's basketball game against Buffalo on Dec. 29 at Sojka Pavilion has been scheduled as Take a Kid to the Game Night. Youth, ages 13-and-younger, will receive a free ticket to that night's game with the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket. Tip off for the contest is slated for 7 p.m.
Bucknell is hosting one of more than 700 games that will be played across the nation this season as part of the Take a Kid to the Game program. The project is a grass-roots initiative that attracts the nation's youth and encourages adults to take kids to area college basketball games.
Tickets for the game can be purchased at the Sojka Pavilion box office on the day of the game. For more information on the Take a Kid to the Game promotion, please contact Bucknell's marketing and promotions assistant, Eric McCabe, at 570-577-3550 or ejm029@bucknell.edu.
After an 11-day layoff, the Bison women's basketball team is back in action this Saturday, Dec. 16, when it travels to Baltimore, Md., to take on Coppin State. Bucknell is next at home on Tuesday, Dec. 19, when it hosts Binghamton at 7 p.m.
