LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell Department of Athletics & Recreation announced today that less than 150 tickets for Saturday's men's basketball game against Northern Iowa have gone unclaimed prior to the designated deadline, and those tickets will now be made available to the general public.
The Sojka Pavilion ticket windows will open on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 11 a.m. for walk-up ticket sales, and tickets will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis. Single-game tickets are $8 each for adults and $4 for children and seniors.
The Bucknell-Northern Iowa game begins at 1 p.m. and can be heard live on Eagle 107 (WEGH 107.3-FM) in Central Pennsylvania as well as on the Internet at www.BucknellBison.com. Live video of the game can also be seen via BucknellBison.com and SportsJuice.com.
Bucknell and Northern Iowa are meeting in a rematch of last year's ESPN BracketBusters contest, won by the Panthers 65-61 in double overtime. UNI comes in at 5-1 after Wednesday's 70-57 victory over in-state rival Iowa State. The Bison also won on Wednesday, topping Saint Francis (Pa.) 60-56 in come-from-behind fashion to improve to 2-4 on the season.
Shortly after the conclusion of the men's game, the Bison women will take the floor against Marist. Bucknell improved to 5-3 on the year with a 54-48 home victory over St. Bonaventure on Thursday evening. The Red Foxes come to Lewisburg with a three-game winning streak and a 4-2 record, with the losses coming on the road against Duke and Villanova.
