Bucknell Field Hockey Members Amanda Faust and Steph Graf Honored by NFHCA

LEWISBURG, Pa - On Monday, sophomores Amanda Faust (Kingston, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) and Steph Graf (Jamison, Pa./Central Bucks East) were honored by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association for their performances this season. Faust was named to the first team, while Graf was selected to the second team.
Faust, who was named to the All-Patriot League first team, led the Bison in points (24) and assists (10), while being tied for the team lead in goals with seven. The sophomore produced two game winning goals and one defensive save on the season. Faust ranked second in the league in assists and assist per game (0.59). She was also listed sixth in points and fifth in points per game (1.41).
Graf, who copped second team All-Patriot League honors this season, led the team and the league in defensive saves with five, while tallying four assists for the Orange and Blue. Graf was a key member of the Bison defense, shutting down the opponents top offensive players numerous times. During the season, Graf was also named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week four times.
The Bucknell field hockey team finished the season 7-10 (1-4 PL) in regular season. The Bison earned a spot in the 2006 Patriot League field hockey tournament, but fell short to American in the semifinals, 4-2.
