LEWISBURG, Pa. - For the fourth consecutive season the Bucknell men's soccer team had multiple team captains honored with positions on the All-Patriot League Teams as junior Corey Curnutte (Waterford, Mich./Detroit Country Day) and Andrew Loia (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) copped second-team honors, the league office announced Wednesday.
Curnutte and Loia earned the 19th and 20th all-time second-team citations for the Bison, who have also had 22 first-team honorees.
Curnutte, who like Loia picked up his first career postseason honor from the Patriot League, is in the midst of a solid campaign at midfield for Bucknell. He missed three matches earlier in the season, but returned to the lineup against Army to help the Bison to their seventh win in eight games. That contest was the lone time in his 53 career games he came off the bench.

Since entering the Bucknell lineup early in his freshman campaign, Loia has not left, registering 70 consecutive starts at defense. Continuing a strong tradition of Bison defenders that has featured four Patriot League Defensive Players of the Year in the last six years, Loia helped Bucknell yield just 21 goals this year, and only 37 over the last two seasons.
Loia tallied his lone goal of the year on a penalty kick to tie the game at 1-1 late in the first half against La Salle in September. He currently has five goals and 10 points in his career. Both figures rank among the leaders on the current Bison squad.
Bucknell, which is the fourth seed in this coming weekend's Patriot League Tournament, takes on top-seeded and host Lehigh Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Bethlehem, Pa. The Mountain Hawks placed four players on the All-Patriot League First Team and one more on the second team.
