Bucknell Cross Country Competes at Leopard Invitational

EASTON, Pa. - The Bucknell men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Leopard Invitational on Saturday afternoon on the campus of Lafayette University. The men's team placed 14th of 14 teams in a five-mile run, while the women's squad finished 12th of 13 teams in a six-kilometer run.
On the men's side, freshman Andrew Huebner (Hampton Falls, N.H./Governor Dummer Academy) placed first for the Orange and Blue and 53rd of 130 runners with a time of 27 minutes, 22 seconds. Junior James Redmond (Medfod, N.J./Bishop Eustace Prep) crossed the line with a time of 27:51, which was good for 74th place, while freshman Baron Willeford (New Orleans, La./Columbia Prep) finished 77th with a time of 27:55. Behind Willeford was freshman Kevin McGoldrick (West Chester, Pa./Henderson), who crossed the plane 78th with a time of 27:56. Senior Eric Harbison (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg-Salem) wrapped up the Bison top five placing 86th with a time of 28:09.
Senior Molly Harms (Sterling Heights, Mich./Stevenson) led the way for the Bucknell women as she placed 42nd of 134 runners with a time of 22:24. Sophomore Ashley Behre crossed the line with a time of 22:59, which was good for 62nd. Freshman Gabrielle Skovira (Park Ridge, N.J./Park Ridge) and junior Lisa Prybella (Southhampton, Pa./ Mt. Saint Joseph's Academy) finished 67th and 72nd with times of 23:03 and 23:13, respectively. Senior Lauren Bricker finished fifth for the Bison and 84th overall with a time of 23:34.
The Bucknell men's and women's cross country squads will compete in the Patriot League Championships on in Hamilton, N.Y. on the campus of Colgate University on Oct. 28.
