Bucknell Men's and Women's Swimming Teams Travel to Florida for Five-Team Meet

FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Bucknell men's and women's swimming teams took on Brown, Western Kentucky, Providence and Shippensburg in a five-team meet on the campus of Florida Gulf Coast University on Friday afternoon.
On the women's side, the team of freshman Susan Horstmann (Havertown, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara), junior Rebecca Scheffter (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore), senior Lectie Altman (Syracuse, N.Y./William Nottingham) and senior Mary Krakowski (Erie, Pa./McDowell) won the 400 free relay with a time of 3:43.89.
For the men, freshman Mark Kawczenski (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Hanover Area), sophomore Bradford Bennett (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton Area), senior Mark Kretzer (Northport, N.Y./Harborfields) and sophomore Grant Steadman (Richmond, Va./Collegiate) captured second in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:38.43.
