Bison Open Meet Results-Day One

LEWISBURG, Pa. - While some of the squad members were at the Penn State National Invite in University Park, Pa., other members of the Bucknell track and field team stayed behind on the home front and competed in the Bison Open, in Gerhard Fieldhouse, in Lewisburg, Pa.
Junior Nina Reinhardt (Northport, N.Y./Northport) had a sensational outing in the long jump, as she recorded a personal best leap of 18-8, solidifying her mark as the Bison's all-time fifth best jumper, and just missing a spot at the ECAC Championships by 1/4 of an inch.
Senior Danielle Todman (Plainfield, N.J./Bishop George Ahr), placed third in the pentathlon and fourth in the Orange and Blue record books with a total tally of 3231 points. Within the pentathlon, Todman won the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.51 seconds.
In the 200, junior Chessa Forer (New York, N.Y./Deerfield Acad.) and sophomore Lesley Emons (Woodbridge, Conn./Amity Regional) qualified for tomorrow's finals with times of 26.50 and 27.13, respectively.
Freshman Kim Hassett (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth) set a personal record and won the 5000 with a time of 18:32.47.
On the men's side, junior John MacFeeters (Haddon Field, N.J./Large) qualified for the finals in the 60-hurdles and ran a time of 8.71, for a third-place finish overall and a sixth-place ranking in the Bison record books.
Senior Matt Corbetta (Port Chester, N.Y./Port Chester) and junior Matt Johnson (Newburgh, N.Y./Marlboro Central) qualified for the 200 finals with times of 23.18 and 23.21, for a ninth and tenth place finish in the preliminaries, respectively.
Competition at the Open will resume and conclude tomorrow, as well as at the PSU Invite.
