Bucknell Women's Swimming and Diving Falls to Colgate, 165-135

HAMILTON, N.Y. - The Bucknell women's swimming and diving team fell to Colgate by a score of 165-135 on Tuesday afternoon, marking just the second loss to the Raiders in program history and first in 21 years for the Bison.
Despite the setback, senior Lectie Altman (Syracuse, N.Y./William Nottingham), junior Rebecca Scheffter (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore) and junior Katherine Munson (New Fairfield, Conn./New Fairfield) all posted individual wins for Bucknell. Altman captured first in the 200 back with a time of 2:04.59 and took second in the 100 back with a time of 59.06. Scheffter won the 100 free in 53.01 and was the runner-up in the 50 free (24.79), while Munson swam the 200 fly in 2:08.75, good for first in the event.
Junior Alex List (Red Bank, N.J./Red Bank Regional) broke into the Bucknell record book with her time of 10:36.34 as she finished second in the 1000 free, good for ninth all-time in program history. List took second in the 500 free, as well, with a time of 5:11.12.
Current Patriot League Female Swimmer of the Week sophomore Kristen Skroski (North Haven, Conn./Hopkins) came in second in the 200 free with a time of 1:56.00, junior Nikki Woodward (Longmeadow, Mass./Longmeadow) was the runner-up in the 200 breast (2:26.82) and classmate Laura Goeller (Wilmington, Del./Tower Hill School) captured second in the 200 IM (2:12.20), to round out the top finishers for the Bison.
The 400 free relay squad of freshman Susan Horstmann (Havertown, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara), Skroski, Altman and Scheffter took first with a time of 3:36.33 and the 200 medley relay team of Altman, Woodward, senior Mary Krakowski (Erie, Pa./McDowell) and Scheffter finished second with a time of 3:36.33.
Bucknell returns to action on Saturday, January 21, when the team will play host to Columbia, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
