Lectie Altman Earns Patriot League Female Swimmer of the Week Honors

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell women's swimming and diving senior Lectie Altman (Syracuse, N.Y./William Nottingham) was named the Patriot League's Female Swimmer of the Week the league announced on Tuesday.
Altman, along with teammates freshman Susan Horstmann (Havertown, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara), junior Rebecca Scheffter (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore) and senior Mary Krakowski (Erie, Pa./McDowell) won the 400 free relay with a time of 3:43.89 at the five-team Florida Gulf Coast Relay Invitational last Friday.
She also helped the Bison to second place finishes in the 300 back relay and the 200 medley relay. Altman, junior Nikki Woodward (Longmeadow, Mass./Longmeadow), Krakowski and Scheffter finished with a time of 1:52.37 in the 200 medley relay and the team of Altman, Munson and freshman Ally St. Claire (Sliver Spring, Md.) completed the 300 back relay in 3:01.87.
Bucknell will return to action on Friday, Jan. 13, when the team will travel to West Point, N.Y., to take on Patriot League foe Army at 5 p.m.
