PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Bucknell men's tennis finished their second day of competition at the Brown Invitational on Saturday evening. The day was packed with lots of tennis action, as the Bison advance nine to the semi-finals, which will be played tomorrow, Sunday, Sept. 18.

Dan Bednarek, Steve Coulis, John Lashnits, Ryan Sandburg and Jason Suway all collected wins on the day, in singles matches, but failed to advance.
The pairs of Bednarek and Cohen and Suway and Rosenstock played in the semi-finals of the doubles main draw bracket, but were defeated 8-3 and 8-6, respectively.
"Today was a great day!" said assistant coach Steve Monge. "The guys played well but more importantly they competed very hard. Our singles play was great, we have some work to do in doubles but I really saw some positive things. A tournament like this, really let's us know where we are early on. It puts us against some of the best competition in the East region, and that's good. We really know what we have to focus on for the Spring."
Currently, the Bison have five undefeated athletes in the tournament who will look to be tournament champions when the event concludes tomorrow.
