LEWISBURG, Pa. - Emily Burman led a resurgent Bucknell offense with four goals, and three other Bison recorded hat tricks as well in a 15-10 non-league victory over Le Moyne on Wednesday afternoon at sun-splashed Graham Field. Now 4-8 on the season, the Bison remained undefeated at home and extended their Graham Field winning streak to five games dating back to last season.
Andrea Paraud, Katie Edge and Lauren Kremer all scored three times and Bucknell controlled the "hustle" stats, winning the ground ball battle 27-13 while holding a 15-9 edge in draw controls.
Megan Keddy, Elizabeth Hewett, Amanda Keegan and Meghan Burgoon scored twice each for the Dolphins, who fell to 4-4 on the year.
In the first ever meeting between the two teams, the Bison appeared ready to pull away early when Burman and Paraud scored twice each in a 4-0 run that gave them a quick 4-1 lead less than seven minutes into the game. But Le Moyne controlled possession for the next 12 minutes and scored three in succession to tie the game.
With the score knotted at 5-apiece, Bucknell finally took the lead for good when Kremer went on her own personal 3-0 run late in the half. The Bison sophomore scored twice on free position shots and once on a nifty lob feed from Amy Lee - all in a span of just 2:41 - to make it 8-5 with 1:28 left in the half. Keddy scored her second of the day with 17 seconds left in the half to pull Le Moyne within 8-6 at intermission.
Bucknell scored the first three and five of the first six goals of the second stanza to take control of the game. Lee finished a Paraud feed 4:36 into the period to restore the three-goal cushion, then Edge tallied twice in 65 seconds to make it 11-6.
Tory Field's first goal of the year, coming in a free position shot, gave the Bison their largest lead of the day at 13-7 with 13:11 to play.
Bucknell outshot Le Moyne 30-22, including 17-7 in the second half. Lizzy McDaniel made nine saves in goal for the Bison, while Samantha Falcone had eight for the Dolphins.
The Bison return to Patriot League play on Saturday against Villanova at 1 p.m. at Graham Field. Bucknell is 2-1 in the conference and currently in fourth place, a half-game behind third-place Holy Cross.
