Bison Swimming and Diving Puts 17 Athletes on All-Patriot League Teams

LEWISBURG, Pa. - After winning their third-consecutive Patriot League title last month, the Bucknell women's swimming and diving team was well represented in the post-season All-Patriot League awards with a league-high six Bison on the first team and four Bucknell women receiving second team honors. The Bison men, coming off a fourth-place PL finish, had a total of seven all-league candidates, one on the first team, and six on the second team.
Rebecca Scheffter (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore), Laura Goeller (Wilmington, Del./Tower Hill School), Lectie Altman (Syracuse, N.Y./William Nottingham), and Katherine Munson (New Fairfield, Conn./New Fairfield) all received first team nominations due to individual gold medals and the Championships. Bucknell's Jamie Flick (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) and Nikki Woodward (Longmeadow, Mass./Longmeadow) were also first team selections adding 45 and 43 points, respectively, to the Bison team total.
Mary Krakowski (Erie, Pa./McDowell), Jackie Feinthel (Cranford, N.J./Cranford), Erika Mannix (Coto de Caza, Calif./Tesoro), and Carlyn Donely (Pittsburgh, Pa./Oakland Catholic) received second-team honors for either placing second in an individual event or scoring 29 or more points towards Bucknell's tally.
On the men's side, Ian Rawhauser (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) was the lone Bison to receive a first-team nomination after scoring 44 total points over the event's three days of competition.
Adam Freeman (Barrington, Ill./Barrington), William Schilling (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional), Todd Bauer (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton Area), Mark Kretzer (Northport, N.Y./Harbor Fields), John Hoffman (Island Heights, N.J./Monsignor Donovan), and John Peterman (Conestoga, Pa./Penn Manor) were all second-team selections for a second-place finish or a total score of 28 or more points.
The Bison women dominated the PL Championships with 810 points over second-place Navy with 598. Bucknell head coach Jerry Foley was named the Women's Coach of the Year for the third time in his Bison career. The men put 533 points on the board to secure fourth place.
