Bison Swimming Ranked in Final CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major Poll

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bison men's and women's swimming teams received postseason recognition on Thursday as the final standings of the CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major poll were announced with both Bison teams making appearances on the 25 team list.
The Bison women, who are coming off their third-consecutive Patriot League crown, concluded the season in eighth-place in the poll with a score of 236.55, just .11 points behind East Carolina in seventh. The University of California - Irvine finished at the top of the rankings with a total of 246.28 followed by Miami (Ohio) in second place with 241.58. Bucknell is also tops in the Patriot League finishing in front of Navy, the only other PL team on the list, in 10th.
The Bison men, who placed fourth at the PL Championships, just missed a top 10 ranking, coming in 11th with 234.35 points. Southwest Missouri State is the number one rated team tallying 247.69 points with UC-Irvine in second with 247.52. Patriot League foe Navy finished just ahead of Bucknell in ninth place scoring 235.80.
The CollegeSwimming.com rankings are based on each team's best dual meet lineup as judged and submitted by participating teams. The conferences included in the Mid-Major poll are America East, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, EISL, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-America, Mid-Continent, Midwest, Mid-eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Sun Belt, Trans America and West Coast.
