Bison Men's Swimming and Diving Finishes Fourth at Patriot League Championships

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Adam Freeman and William Schilling gave silver medal performances on Saturday night as the Bison men's swimming and diving team finished fourth at the Patriot League Championships at Kinney Natatorium. The Bison totaled 533 points, just 26 points behind Lehigh in third. Navy won the meet with a total score of 822.50.
Adam Freeman earned a silver medal in the one-meter dive scoring 309.45 points, edged out Army's Doug Klein with 309.25. William Schilling was another Bison runner-up swimming a personal-best time of 2:02.62 in the 200-yard breaststroke. Teammate Joseph Metcalf followed in third-place in 2:04.97, the third-best time in Bison history.
Ian Rawhauser also took a bronze medal clocking a 45.72 in the 100 freestyle. His time is the fifth-best all-time by a Bison. John Peterman scored in the final of the 100 free taking eighth in 46.92. Todd Bauer notched another high finish with a fourth place showing in the 1650 free in 16:10.35.
Also scoring for the Bison were Tyler Sowell (13th, 16:43.04), Theo Leriotis (15th, 16:46.70), and Andrew Steiner (16th, 16:51.10) in the 1650 free, Matthew McGraw (15th, 1:57.75) in the 200 backstroke, Brad Bennett (15th, 47.76) and Grant Steadman (16th, 48.04) in the 100 free, Clifton Cazes (10th, 2:08.21) in the 200 breast, Matt Crandell (eighth, 1:54.87) and Mark Kretzer (13th, 1:55.72) in the 200 butterfly, and Rawhauser, Steadman, Bennett and Peterman (fourth, 3:05.78) in the 400 free relay.
