LEWISBURG, Pa. - Senior Adam Freeman (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) and freshman Erika Mannix (Coto de Caza, Calif./Tesoro) have been named the Diving Athletes of the Week by the East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC) for their performances at last weekend's Bison Invitational. Freeman set new school records in both the one-meter and three-meter dives on his way to winning both events. Mannix took the gold medal in the one-meter and the silver in the three-meter. Freeman and Mannix are the first swimming and diving athletes to receive ECAC recognition this season.
The award is the second in two days for Freeman who was named the Patriot League Male Diver of the Week after winning the one-meter dive last weekend with a score of 318.15 and the three-meter (11 dives) with a tally of 508.35, both new Bucknell records. Freeman broke the school record in the one-meter for the second-consecutive week and also bested his own record in the three-meter. Freeman, the only Bison to win an event on the men's side last weekend, has had a very successful season with four wins in the one-meter and two in the three-meter.

Mannix, who has already garnered four PL awards this season, has had an exceptional start to her Bison career with five event wins this season, including three wins in the one-meter.
Next up for the Bison swimmers and divers is the Patriot League Championships on Feb. 24-26. Bucknell will host the event at Kinney Natatorium with sessions taking place at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. on each day of competition.
