Bucknell Places Record 26 Football Student-Athletes on Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Bucknell football team placed a league-high 26 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, it was announced by the league office on Friday.
The 26 Honor Roll members is a new Bucknell record, surpassing the previous high of 24 in 2003. More than a quarter of the Bison squad earned the requisite 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester.
Among the 26 honorees were senior offensive linemen Justin Gibson and Steven Utke, who recorded perfect 4.0 GPAs. Elsewhere around the league, Georgetown had 19 Honor Roll members, Holy Cross 16, Lafayette 12, Colgate 10, Fordham nine and Lehigh four.
