LEWISBURG, Pa. - The senior goalkeeper for Bucknell's field hockey team, Liz Jordan (Towson, Md./St. Paul's), was named a 2005 Dartfish/NFHCA second team All-Region honoree on Monday morning. Jordan also received the honor as a sophomore in 2003.
Jordan, also recently named the Patriot League's Goalkeeper of the Year, along with receiving All-PL first team honors, finished the season ranking third on the national level in save percentage, 0.819, and in total saves, 190.
In October, Jordan turned in a 25 save performance, helping her team to a 2-1 double-overtime victory over Lehigh, while also recording a 14-save, 2-1 victory over Towson that same week, which earned her the PL's Defensive Player of the Week Award and ECAC Goalie of the Week honors. Her 25 saves marked a career-high.
Jordan pulled in another PL weekly award for her defensive performance in the 3-2 Bison victory over Colgate.
The senior finished her career at Bucknell with 475 total saves, placing her eighth in the PL record book, among all goaltenders.
The Bison finished the season 8-10 overall, 4-1 in regular season PL play, while finishing second in the conference, giving Bucknell its best finish in the history of the program. In the PL Tournament, the Orange and Blue were defeated by Holy Cross, 3-1, and came home with a post-season record of 0-1.
