LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell field hockey's goalkeeper, senior co-captain Liz Jordan (Towson, Md./St. Paul's), has been selected to play in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association North/South All-Star Game to be held on November 19, 2005 at the University of Louisville, in Louisville, Ky. Jordan, along with two American players, will also be representing the Patriot League.
The NFHCA North/South All-Star Game will involve 38 selected players from different schools around the country, divided into two teams, the North and the South. Jordan will be representing the Bison on the South team.
The PL's American will also have Javiera Villagra and Heather Maranzano as All-Stars for the South.
This season, Jordan has started in all 14 games, has compiled 133 saves and just 36 goals allowed, for a save percentage of .787. She currently is ranked among the nation's bests in saves and save percentage. She has come through for the Orange and Blue on numerous occasions with several diving, game-saving efforts.
Jordan, both a 2003 and 2004 All-PL honoree, has already earned a Defensive Player of the Week award this season.
On Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005, Bucknell, 5-9 overall (2-1 PL), will host Lafayette in a league match-up at 1 p.m., at Graham Field. Prior to game time, Bison field hockey will be honoring Jordan and the other three seniors on the squad in celebration of Senior Day
