Bucknell Women's Tennis Concludes Action in Bucknell Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell women's tennis team concluded action in the Bucknell Invitational on Sunday by picking up wins in two of its four matches. Junior Rheanna Gaskin (Gaithersburg, Md./Colonel Zadok Magruder) and freshman Ashley Globerman (New City, N.Y./Clarkstown High School) were both victorious, competing in the Flight "B" and "C" singles brackets, respectively.
Gaskin defeated Connecticut's BreAnn Cheung by an 8-2 margin for 13th in Fight "B" singles, while Globerman picked up an 8-3 win over Amy Hosotsuji of Long Island for 13th in Flight "C" singles.
In other day three action, Bucknell's Veronica Brown (Derwood, Md./Colonel Zadok Magruder) and Paulina Gamboa (Mexico City, Mexico/Greengates School) fell to Megan Noble and Brooke Jones of Army, 8-3 in the Flight "A" doubles semifinal. Freshman Tiffany Card (Little Silver, N.J./Red Bank Regional) fell to St. Bonaventure's Jasmine Jaysingh, 8-5 for 13th place in Flight "D" singles.
Bucknell will next compete in two weeks, Oct. 21-23, at the ITA Regional in Hanover, N.H.
