Bucknell Women's Tennis Completes Day Two Of Action at Home Tournament

The Bucknell women's tennis team completed a tough day two of competition at its own Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pa early this evening. The only Bison to advance in tomorrow's main-draw bracket are the duo of Veronica Brown (Derwood, Md./Colonel Zadok Magruder) and Paulina Gamboa (Mexico City, Mexico/Greengates School).
Brown and Gamboa advance to today's semi-final match due to a bye, and then defeated a pair from Colgate in a tight match, 8-6, in order to qualify for tomorrow's championship match.
Chelsea Mills (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley) advanced to today's semi-finals match in singles, Flight B, but was defeated by St. John's Alison Ademski in a very close match, 7-5, 6-2.
The duo will conclude their action at the Invitational tomorrow. Bucknell will then return to action in two weeks, Oct. 21-23, at the ITA Regional competition in Hanover, N.H.
