Bison Men's Tennis Has Big Weekend at Swarthmore Tournament

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Bucknell men's tennis team got several tournament champions in the Swarthmore Tournament hosted by Swathmore College this weekend. The Bison men were victorious in three of the singles brackets as well as two of the doubles brackets.
Freshman Ira Reibeison defeated teammate Asher Salam in the final of the B bracket 6-1, 3-6, 10-4, for the tourney win. Freshman John Lashnits was also victorious in flight C of the tournament picking up a win over Jason Hanschmann of Delaware, 6-3, 6-3. Junior Garrett Neff picked up another Bison tournament title defeating Michael Fehrs of Delaware 2-6, 7-6, 11-9.
In doubles action, Bucknell won two of the three doubles competitions. Tournament champions included the teams of Salam and Joe Menezes and Gerald DiChiara and Matt Pikus.
Up next for the Bison men will be the Brown Invitational next weekend in Providence, R.I.
