LEWISBURG, Pa. - With the fall semester now underway, a pair of Bucknell fan-interactive programs will be resuming in the next two weeks. Bison Live!, a live weekly radio show spotlighting Bison Athletics, will begin on its new night on Monday, Aug. 30 from 7-8 p.m. at the Lewisburg Hotel. Meanwhile, the first meeting of the Lewisburg Touchdown Club will be held at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 7, also at the Lewisburg Hotel. The Bison Live! Program, formerly aired on Thursday evenings, moves to Mondays this year. The show is aired in front of a live audience on WMLP (1380-AM), WVBU (90.5-FM) and on the internet at www.BucknellBison.com. Bucknell head football coach Tim Landis will be a regular guest in the fall starting Sept. 13, joining coaches and student-athletes from each of Bucknell's 26 varsity sports throughout the year. Field hockey coach Heather Lewis and women's soccer coach Chrissy Findlay will appear on Monday's initial show. Fans in attendance at the Lewisburg Hotel can ask questions on the air and win Bucknell Athletics apparel. The Lewisburg Touchdown Club luncheons highlight the Bison football program, as well as those of the high schools in the Susquehanna Valley. Landis will be on hand each week along with the team's players of the week to talk about Bucknell's previous game and upcoming opponents. Luncheons begin at 11:45 a.m. and conclude by 1 p.m. Cost for the hot buffet is $8 per person. Finally, the Bison Club and Bucknell Dining Services will sponsor bus trips to all five away football games during the 2004 season. The bus will leave on game day from in front of the Kenneth Langone Athletics and Recreation Center. Bus tickets alone can be purchased, or fans can buy a package to include both bus and game tickets. A box-meal is included with the bus ticket, and movies are shown on all trips. In addition, pregame tailgates will be offered at Villanova, Georgetown, Lehigh and Duquesne at a small additional charge. Fans wishing to take advantage of this easy and carefree way to travel to Bison games this season should contact Todd Newcomb for reservations at 570-577-1771.
