WASHINGTON, D.C. - Bucknell's leading scorers, juniors Meg Blitzer and Cody Keffer, scored one goal each for the Bison, but that was all the offense BU could muster in a 6-2 loss to George Washington on Saturday, March 6. The game dropped Bucknell to 1-2 in the Southern Division.
The Orange and Blue could not overcome a 3-1 halftime deficit, and the Colonials defense held BU without a goal in both the second and third quarters on the way to the win.
In addition to Blitzer and Keffer, freshman Elizabeth Jensen had a point in the contest with an assist.
Freshman Mandy Bynum recorded 10 saves for the second-straight game.
Bucknell is 5-4 overall and 1-2 in league play. The Orange and Blue face Maryland at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 7.
