PRINCETON, N.J. - Junior Meg Blitzer continued her offensive prowess for the season, scoring twice and helping on four other goals as the Bucknell women's water polo team defeated the newest member of the CWPA Southern Division, Maryland, 15-7 on Saturday, March 27.
Blitzer was one of eleven different Bison to score in the contest, and one of four to score multiple times. Also finding the back of the net twice in the game were senior Kelly Hofstetter, and freshmen Mallory Sullivan and Jessica Trimis. Blitzer's four assists led the squad, while sophomore Christina Behrens and freshman Taylor Voeltz each had two.
Freshman goalkeeper Mandy Bynum played the first two quarters, stopping six shots while allowing three goals. Classmate Katie Colgan played the final two frames, making one save.
