BU Women's Water Polo Falls 7-4 to San Bernadino

CLAREMONT, Calif. - The Bison women's water polo team found itself in an early 5-2 hole that was too much to overcome in a 7-4 loss to San Bernadino at the Claremont Convergence on Sunday, March 21. The squad falls to 8-11 with the defeat.
Bucknell trailed 5-2 at halftime and got as close a 6-4 after the third quarter, but San Bernadino finished it with one goal in the fourth, while holding the Orange and Blue off the scoreboard.
Junior Meg Blitzer scored twice in the game for the Bison. Also tallying were senior Kelly Hofstetter and freshman Mallory Sullivan. Rookie Elizabeth Jensen led the team with three assists.
Freshman Mandy Bynum played the entire game in goal, stopping eight shots for BU.
