Bucknell Men's Tennis Drops Florida Finale, Patriot League Opener to Army, 6-1

WINTER PARK, Fla. - The Bucknell men's tennis team lost its final game of the Spring Break trip to Orlando, Fla., 6-1 to Army, also the first match of league play. The Black Knights swept doubles play and took five of six singles matches en route to victory.
Nick Denefrio and Matt Pikus lost to David Collins and John Sabia, 8-6 on court one, while Gerald DiChiara and Aaron Saperstein fell to Michael Good and John Houghton, 9-7, while Army's Carl Fisher and Kyle Roybal completed the sweep with a win over Joe Menezes and Asher Salam, 8-5.
At first singles, Denefrio fell to Sabia, 6-2, 6-3, while DiChiara lost to Houghton, 5-7, 6-3, (10-5) at second singles and Salam fell to Fisher, 6-1, 6-3 on court three. Joe Menezes lost on court four to Good, 6-1, 6-1, while Bucknell's only point came on court five when Pikus beat Sebastian Salas, 5-7, 6-3 (10-8). Saperstein lost to Collins, 6-2, 6-1 at sixth singles.
Bucknell will return home to Lewisburg to face Colgate on Sunday, Mar. 28 at 12 p.m.
