RIVERSIDE, Calif. - The Bucknell women's water polo dropped its second-straight game on its annual West Coast swing, falling to Cal State Bakersfield 11-3 on Friday, March 12, at the Lancer Invitational hosted by Cal Baptist.
Bucknell trailed just 3-2 at halftime before Bakersfield exploded for eight goals in the second half, while limiting the Orange and Blue to just one.
Junior Meg Blitzer, sophomore Christina Behrens and freshman Elizabeth Jensen were the three Bucknell goal scorers in the contest, while Blitzer added one assist. Junior Katie Hartigan also contributed offensively with two assists.
Freshman goalkeeper Mandy Bynum played the entire game in net, stopping four shots.
Bucknell falls to 6-6 overall and will face Sonoma State on Saturday, March 13, at 2:30 p.m. ET.
