Bison Swimming and Diving Honored for Academic Performance by CSCAA

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell swimming and diving teams were honored today by the Collegiate Swimming Coaches Association of America for their academic performance during the fall 2003 term. Bucknell's women's squad had the No. 20 GPA in the nation, averaging 3.34. The men's team ranked 51st with a 2.83 GPA. Eighty-eight Division I schools made the women's list by achieving a GPA of 2.8, and 53 men's teams were honored by achieving the same standard.
The Bucknell women ranked highest of any Patriot League schools, just as they did in the pool this season. Bucknell's women earned their second consecutive Patriot League crown, while the men finished runner-up to Navy at the meet held Feb. 26-28.
