Bucknell Women's Hoops Player Earns Patriot League Weekly Honor

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell freshman Lindsey Hollobaugh (Loganton, Pa./Central Mountain) has been tabbed the Patriot League Freshman of the Week for her league-leading sixth time of the season, announced by the conference office on Monday, February 2.
Hollobaugh wins the rookie award after averaging 13.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals in a pair of games for the Bison last week. The 5-9 guard opened the weekend with a 14 point, seven rebound effort in a 78-66 loss to Colgate Friday night. She also dished out three assists and grabbed a pair of steals.
Sunday, Hollobaugh recorded her 18th double-digit scoring effort in 20 games with 13 points and another seven caroms in a 71-55 loss to defending league champion Holy Cross. She also swiped three steals in the contest.
Hollobaugh is currently second on the team with 15.1 points per game and 5.4 rebounds per game. Her ppg average is sixth among Patriot League players and tops for freshmen, and with 301 points on the season she is already sixth on the Bucknell rookie scoring list.
Bucknell is 9-11 on the year, 2-5 in Patriot League play. The Bison are in the middle of a four-game homestand and will host American on Saturday, February 7, to open the second half of Patriot League action.
