Chris McNaughton Named Lewisburg Hotel Bison Athlete of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. - After leading the Bucknell men's basketball team in scoring in two of three games last week, sophomore center Chris McNaughton (Leutershausen, Germany/Dientzenhofer Gymnasium) has been named the Lewisburg Hotel Bison Athlete of the Week.
In games against Saint Francis (Pa.), Stephen F. Austin and Iowa State, McNaughton totaled 44 points and 15 rebounds, and he made 18 of 28 shots from the field and 8 of 11 from the free throw line.
Last Monday, McNaughton tallied 17 points and seven rebounds in a 70-65 loss to Saint Francis. He had 16 points and four rebounds in a 62-49 win over Stephen F. Austin on Friday in the first round of the Cyclone Challenge, then in the championship game against host Iowa State, he logged 11 points and four rebounds despite being limited to only five first-half minutes due to foul trouble.
For the season, the 6-11 center is averaging 13.0 points per game and 4.8 rebounds per game while shooting 59.2 percent (29-49) from the field.
Bucknell is 3-3 after Saturday's tough 62-55 loss to Iowa State. The Bison travel to Ivy League power Penn on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
