Men's Tennis Picks Up Seven of Nine First Round Wins at Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bison men's tennis team won seven of nine first round matches on Saturday to kick off this weekend's Bucknell Invitational. Nick Denefrio and Ira Reibeisen advanced through the second round and will play in the semifinals of the A flight on Sunday.
In the B bracket, Joe Menezes picked up two wins and will also play in the semifinals tomorrow. The Bison will have two entrants in the C flight semifinals in Garrett Neff and Matt Pikus who both notched two wins on the day.
In the doubles portion of the tournament, the tandem of Denefrio and Asher Salam won their first two A flight matches to make the semifinals.
Picking up first round wins on the day were Salam, Pikus and Ben Young. The team of Young and Brian Cohen also won their first round matchup in the B flight doubles bracket.
Competition will continue Sunday morning and conclude sometime in the afternoon.
