Field Hockey Picks Up 3-1 Win Over Georgetown in Final Match of the Season

WASHINGTON, D.C. - In the final game of the season, the Bucknell Bison field hockey squad ended on a good note with a 3-1 victory over Georgetown, Saturday in Washington, D.C. In a good indication of team-play, the Bison supplied an assist for all three goals.
With the scored tied at one goal apiece at halftime, the Bison came out and netted two second half goals to earn the 3-1 win.
Katie Urosevich was credited with the assist on both second half goals, first sending a pass to Cara Turner who scored to make the score 2-1, 42:31 into play. Urosevich then passed the ball to Lindsey Weller who scored at the 45:12 mark and gave Bucknell the two-goal lead.
Kelly O'Brien was the first to strike for the Bison scoring at the 8:16 mark with an assist from Kelly Hoffman to make the score 1-0. Georgetown's Megan Carroll answered with 23:18 gone by in the game with an unassisted goal to knot the score at 1-1.
In goal, Bison Liz Jordan recorded eight saves in 70 minutes of play. Georgetown goalies Abby Winer and Caitlyn Faller combined for four Hoya saves.
The Bison end the season at 6-13 overall, 1-4 in the Patriot League.
