Bison Women's Tennis Goes Winless at ITA Regionals

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Bucknell women's tennis team began competition at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regionals on Saturday at the University of Pennsylvania. The doubles teams of Nada Curcic and Veronica Brown and Tanya Sichko and Daniella Shtemberg both came away with losses in the doubles bracket while Curcic also picked up a loss in singles competition.
Curcic lost to Michelle Mitchell of the University of Pennsylvania, 6-1, 6-2, in the opening round of competition.
The team of Brown and Curcic fell to Kristyna Pesatova and Katerina Jiskrova of Hampton, 8-4, in the first round of the main draw. Sichko and Shtemberg dropped their match to Lori Stern and Caroline Hammond of Virginia, 8-6, in the qualfying round for a spot in the main draw of the tournament.
The ITA Regional is the last date on Bucknell's fall tennis schedule.
