Bucknell Women's Golf Stands Fifth at Lady Bison Classic

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell's women's golf squad shot 331 on Saturday and rests fifth in a field of 17 teams at its own Lady Bison Classic, held at Bucknell's golf course. The Bison also entered a second squad that stands in 15th place with a score of 379.
Leading the primary squad was Kristen Phalen with an 8-over 78 to tie for eighth place in the individual standings. Meredith Kalman shot 82, followed by Teri Schlang at 83, Amy Loughney at 88 and Emily Chiodo with 90. The lowest score on the second Bucknell team was a 91 from Jaime Hays.
St. John's, St. Francis (Pa.) and Brown comprise the top-three positions in the standings. The Red Storm shot 305 Saturday to lead the way, while the Red Flash rank second at 312. The Bears carded 321 as a team. Harvard (326) and Bucknell (331) round out the top five.
St. Francis' (Pa.) Tarah Schloss shot 74 to hold the individual lead. Brittany Lambertson of St. John's had a round of 75 to hold down the second position.
