Bison Netter Ira Reibeisen Falls in First Round of ITA Regionals

BLACKSBURG, Va. - Action in this year's men's Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regionals began yesterday in Blacksburg, Va., hosted by Virginia Tech. Bucknell's lone competitor in the tournament, freshman Ira Reibeisen, lost in his first round of tennis on Friday morning.
Reibeisen fell to Penn State's Michael Jacobs in the first round, 6-2, 6-1. Reibeisen will take on Johnny Lu of Yale in the consolation round on Saturday at 9 a.m. The tournament runs through Tuesday, Oct. 26.
Reibeisen's loss came in the opening round of 128 players. The singles finalists and doubles champion will move on to the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships at the University of Michigan on November 4-7.
The ITA Regional is the last scheduled contest for the Bison during the fall season.
