LEWISBURG, Pa. - Senior co-captain Ori Adrabi scored two goals as the Bucknell men's soccer team won a pair of games last week to improve to 4-5-1 this season. For his efforts, Adrabi copped honors as the Lewisburg Hotel Bison Athlete of the Week.
In the first match of the week, a 2-0 shutout of Rider, Adrabi scored the second goal of the game in the 67th minute to seal the victory for the Bison. Adrabi took a quick pass from Corey Curnutte right in front of the net and knocked the ball past the Broncs' goalie.
In Bucknell's second game of the week, a 2-1 triumph over Lafayette that vaulted the Bison into a second-place tie in the Patriot League standings with the Leopards, the West Hills, Calif., native scored his career-high third goal of the season with just 3:30 remaining in regulation to give the Bison the victory. The score was the first game-winning goal of the senior's career. He has scored seven goals in his 63 career games.
With the two goals last week, Adrabi climbed into a tie with Jonathan Hemmert for second on the team in goals with three, and he rose to third on the squad in points with six.
