
Bucknell Men's Water Polo Falls 11-4 to Iona

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Bucknell men's water polo offense struggled to get going, and it proved costly as Iona defeated the Bison 11-4 at the Navy Labor Day Invitational on Sunday, September 7. The Bison fall to 0-3 with the loss.
The Gaels jumped out to a 3-0 lead after one quarter, and built that to a 7-2 advantage at the break. Bucknell failed to find the back of the net again in the third, while allowing Iona to score once. The Gaels outscored BU 3-2 in the fourth for the final of 11-4.
Nick Ferring tallied two of Bucknell's goals, while Elliot Benoist and Bradley Roslyn added the other scores. Benoist assisted on two goals as well. Roslyn and goalkeeper Trevor Mullins were also credited with assists.
Jay Danforth led the defense with three steals.
Mullins made seven saves in the game.
