
Bison Men's Water Polo Takes Sixth at ECAC Championship

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Bucknell got three goals each from Jay Danforth and Aaron Platshon, but it was not enough as the Bison men's water polo team fell 11-7 to Brown at the ECAC Championship on Sunday, September 28. BU took sixth place at the 10-team event with the loss.
The Orange and Blue trailed only 3-2 after the first quarter, but Brown tacked on three more scores in the second compared to Bucknell's one for a 6-3 halftime edge. BU outscored the host team 3-2 in the third quarter to pull within two, 8-6. Brown finished the game with a 3-1 fourth quarter for the 11-7 victory.
Bradley Roslyn scored Bucknell's other goal in the contest. In addition to his three scores, Platshon finished the game with two assists for a team-high five points.
Bison goalkeeper Trevor Mullins recorded six saves in the cage.
Bucknell falls to 3-11 overall. The Orange and Blue are off for a week before returning to action on Friday, October 10, for a 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time game against the Redlands at the Claremont Convergence in Claremont, Calif.
