ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Bucknell men's water polo team completed play at the first set of Southern Division League games on Sunday, September 21. The Bison dropped a 17-6 decision to 13th-ranked Princeton before falling 10-7 to George Washington.
Against the nationally ranked Tigers, BU trailed 7-3 at the break and could not find any more offense for the second half. Princeton outscored the Orange and Blue 10-3 in the second for the 17-6 final.
Later in the day, Bucknell took on George Washington for its fourth game in two days. Bucknell tied the contest at 7-7 in the third quarter, but the Colonials shutout the Bison in the fourth for the 10-7 win.
Jay Danforth was Bucknell's offensive leader with three goals and one assist. Bradley Roslyn also scored multiple times with two goals. Aaron Platshon had three assists for BU.
