Bison Men's Water Polo Falls 9-3 to Johns Hopkins

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Bucknell men's water polo team dropped another game at the Southern Division League games, falling 9-3 to Johns Hopkins, the fourth ranked Division III team in the country. The Bison fall to 2-7 overall and 0-2 in the conference with the loss.
Johns Hopkins only led 1-0 after one quarter, but added three more scores in the second to take a 4-2 lead into halftime. The Bison offense continued to struggle, scoring only once in the second half. Meanwhile, JHU tallied five times in the third and fourth quarters to come away with the 9-3 victory.
Lars Weborg found the back of the net twice for BU, while Aaron Platshon added the other goal.
Jay Danforth was a threat defensively, recording six steals.
Michael McManigal made six stops in goal for Bucknell.
The Bison are back in action on Sunday, September 21, taking on Princeton at 10:00 a.m.
