Bucknell Men's Soccer Finds Offense in 4-1 Rout of La Salle

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Sophomore Scott Visnic broke a 1-1 tie at the 65:07 mark with his second goal of the season, and the Bucknell men's soccer team went on to score two more goals in a 4-1 victory over visiting La Salle on Tuesday, September 16. The Bison squad has now won three straight contests.
Junior Ori Adrabi got Bucknell on the board with his first score of the year just 18:24 into the game. The Orange and Blue ran the break to perfection when sophomore Eric Brunton found junior Greg Buzzell at the top of the box, and Buzzell alertly passed off to Adrabi, waiting on the right post.
The Explorers evened the game just over 20 minutes later when Marc Rostant sent a shot curving over Bucknell goalkeeper Adam Edwards' head. The two teams entered the break in the 1-1 deadlock with La Salle holding a 6-5 edge in shots.
BU took it to the Explorers in the second half, firing off 11 shots to their three. Visinic's first goal of the game was the first of three of those 11 shots to get past La Salle goalkeeper Stash Graham. Junior Michael Lookingland II sent a free kick across the net, where Visnic finished in the back right corner.
Just over ten minutes later, senior Chris Beekman tallied his first of the season, beating several defenders down the left side to put the Bison ahead 3-1 at the 76:21 mark. Visnic added another for good measure with 4:02 to play, marking his first career multiple goal game.
Edwards ended the game with four saves, while Graham recorded two stops for La Salle. Bucknell finished the game with a 16-9 advantage in shots, and a 5-1 edge in corner kicks.
Bucknell improves to 3-2-0 overall. The Bison travel to Colorado for the Falcon Invitational at Air Force this weekend. BU faces the host team at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, September 19, before challenging Loyola Marymount at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Sunday, September 21. La Salle falls to 2-2-2 overall.
