Women's Water Polo Falls to Ninth-Ranked Michigan, 14-2

BOSTON, Mass. - Bucknell took on the 9th-ranked team in the country in the second round of the Eastern Championship, falling to Michigan 14-2 on Saturday, April 26. The Wolverines recently won the Southern Division Championship, and entered Eastern's as the top seed.
The Bison faced a 5-1 deficit after one quarter, and could never get the offense going. Michigan went ahead 6-1 at halftime, and used a five-goal third quarter to officially put the game out of reach. The Orange and Blue scored their final goal in the fourth quarter.
Sophomores Cody Keffer and Meg Blitzer scored the goals for BU. Classmates Eileen Ketterer and Katie Hartigan were responsible for the assists.
Bucknell falls to 14-15 and will face 16th-ranked Hartwick at 4:00 p.m.
