The award is only the second of its type awarding by the conference office.
Brown helped to lead the Bison to a 7-1 overall record, and a 1-0 mark against league rivals, during the month of March. The rookie posted a 7-1 second singles record last month, including victories over Lafayette's Lily Fardshisheh (6-3, 6-1) and Delaware's Christine Knox (6-4, 3-6, 6-0). Brown's lone loss of the month came to Pittsburgh's Niki Borza in three sets (6-4, 1-6, 10-4).
In doubles action, Brown teamed up with sophomore Nadezda Curcic for a 6-2 record at the first flight in March. The duo is 1-0 in conference action with an 8-5 win over Fardshisheh and Shannon Rowe of Lafayette for a 4-3 win over the Leopards in the Patriot League opener.
As a team, Bucknell is 9-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play. The team is in action next on Thursday, April 3, at Mount St. Mary's at 3:00 p.m.
