LEWISBURG, Pa. - The regional markets and the talent have been set for Bucknell's women's basketball game against Navy, being televised on ESPN2, on Sunday, February 16, at 2 p.m. Viewers in Maryland and several different Pennsylvania counties will be able to receive the game in its entirety on Sunday.
On Sunday, ESPN2 will offer viewers a glimpse of its coverage plans for the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament, which begins next month. As part of an unprecedented Tournament commitment, ESPN and ESPN2 will combine to televise all 63 games this March and April, including regional and whiparound coverage during the first two rounds (48 games within 22 telecast windows) when the networks will also offer "home market protection."
This Sunday, ESPN2 will showcase eight regular-season women's college basketball games, including the Bucknell vs. Navy contest, within two telecast windows (four games at 2 p.m. ET and four games at 4 p.m. ET). Virginia at Georgia Tech is the national game at 2 p.m., with regional coverage of Illinois at Purdue, Navy at Bucknell and Michigan State at Michigan.
