LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell goalkeeper Liz Jordan (Towson, Md./St. Paul's) was selected to the STX/NFHCA Mideast Region's second team following the sophomore's first season as the Bison's top goalkeeper. Fifteen other athletes made the second team, and another 16 made the region's first team. The National Field Hockey Coaches' Association announced two teams in each of five regions.
Jordan occupied all 1200-plus minutes in goal for Bucknell, with a 1.47 goals-against average and an .812 save percentage. She never allowed more than three goals in a game, reaching that number only twice, in a 3-1 loss at Yale in October and a 3-2 loss against American in the regular season finale. Jordan had two shutouts on the year, a 1-0 win versus Siena to start the year and a 4-0 win at Maryland-Baltimore County in September.
The Bison went 7-1 to start the year for the first time since 1975, but finished 9-8 and fell in the semifinals of the Patriot League Tournament to Holy Cross, 2-1 in overtime. Bucknell's 3-3 league record put them in third-place in the conference.
