
Bison Men's Water Polo Drops 9-6 Decision to MIT

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Bucknell men's water polo team dropped its second game of the day at the Eastern Championship on Saturday, November 15. The Orange and Blue fell 9-6 to MIT, the top-ranked Division III school in the country.
BU enjoyed a 3-1 lead after the first quarter, but saw MIT work back to within one, 4-3, by halftime. Bucknell lost the lead in the third, and never recovered for the 9-6 loss.
Senior Scott Afzal and junior Jay Danforth led the team with two goals each. Juniors Eliott Benoist and Paul Yerkes also scored once.
Sophomore Trevor Mullins made six saves for BU.
The Bison are 9-20 overall and will play for seventh place on Sunday, November 16, at 9:30 a.m.
