Bison Hoops Standout Molly Creamer Earns Patriot League Weekly Honor

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Senior Molly Creamer (Mendham, N.J./West Morris Mendham) has picked up weekly Patriot League honors for the week ending January 6, 2003. It is Creamer's third Player of the Week award of the season, and 11th of her career.
The co-captain opened the week with 19 points in a 64-49 victory over Akron in the Saint Peter's Holiday Classic consolation game, setting a Patriot League record for career games scoring in double-figures in the process (91). She also chipped in five rebounds, four assists and four steals en route to All-Tournament team honors. With the award, Creamer has been named to the All-Tournament team for every regular-season tournament she has participated in during her four-year career.
In an 85-69 win over Air Force just three days later, Creamer had her fourth 30-point game of the season, while also dishing out 11 assists, for her second double-double of the year, and 10th of her career.
In Bucknell's final game of the week, Creamer connected on all 10 of her free throws on the way to a game-high 23 points in a 66-51 loss at Long Island. With her 20th point in the game, the 5-10 guard became just the second player in Bucknell or Patriot League history to eclipse 2,000 career points (2,003).
For the week, Creamer averaged 24.0 ppg, 5.7 apg and 5.3 rpg. For the season, Creamer is leading the conference with 25.0 ppg and 5.8 apg.
The Bison are currently 5-7 overall. The Orange and Blue open conference play hosting American on Saturday, January 11, at 1:00 p.m. in the Davis Gymnasium finale. Bucknell remains home to host Lehigh in the first game in Sojka Pavilion on Wednesday, January 15, at 5:30 p.m.
