Bucknell Men's Water Polo Drops Two at Southern Division League Games

LANCASTER, Pa. -- The Bucknell men's water polo team dropped two close decisions on the final day of competition at the first set of Southern Division League Games, held at Franklin & Marshall on Sunday, September 22.
In the first game of the day, the Bison faced a tough Princeton team, ranked 17th in the nation. The Tigers used a four goal second period to build a 12-9 lead, before going on to win the contest 15-11. Freshman Bradley Roslyn led the Orange and Blue troop with three goals and three assists in the losing effort.
For the second game in a row, sophomore goalkeeper Ernest Martin recorded a career-high for saves, tallying 13 in the game.
Against Johns Hopkins, the fourth-ranked team in Division III, Bucknell dropped an 11-8 decision. Three players, Elliot Benoist, James Danforth and Daniel Lonnerdal, had two goals each to lead the Bison. Benoist and Danforth also added an assist each.
Martin registered 10 saves in the outing.
Bucknell falls to 3-9 overall and 1-3 in league play.
