
Bison Men's Water Polo Gets 12-8 Win Over George Washington

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Bucknell men's water polo team broke away from a 4-3 lead at halftime to defeat George Washington, 12-8, in Southern Division League Game action on Saturday, September 21. The Bison opened league play against the Colonials.
Sophomore James Danforth was an offensive threat in the contest, scoring four times and assisting on two goals. Also getting involved in the scoring was senior Chris Saxton with three goals and one assist. Sophomore Elliot Benoist led the squad in helpers with four.
Sophomore goalkeeper Ernest Martin not only recorded 10 saves in goal for Bucknell, but he also led the team with four steals.
The Bucknell squad improves to 3-6 overall and 1-0 in conference action. Bucknell faces 9th-ranked Navy at 7:30 p.m.
