Bucknell Women's Soccer Drops To St. Joseph's

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Bucknell broke their four game winning streak when they fell to St. Joseph's, 2-0, on Tuesday evening. The Bison fought hard against a tough Hawk defense and produced four shots on goal during the game.
Senior goalkeeper Laurie Purse captured two saves for the evening. She was faced with two shots from St. Joseph's Michelle Carmosky that ended in the net. The time of goals occurred during the 15th and 49th minutes of the game. Purse stayed in goal for the entire duration of the contest for the Bison.
Last season, the Bison pulled through with a 3-2 victory at home over the Hawks.
Bucknell heads into the weekend with a 5-2 overall record. The Bison return to action on Saturday, Sept. 21, at which time they will play their first conference game when they travel to Hamilton, N.Y. to face Patriot League foe Colgate University.
